It is increasingly becoming difficult for the broadcast channels and cable to come-up with a successful show. The Web streaming site, Netflix, has a different story to tell, with two highly successful shows this year: "Orange is the New Black" and "House of Cards."

In the previous episode of Australia's "The Bachelor," Penny said good bye and Tim Robards was at his charming best when it came to wooing Anna, the criminal lawyer from Sydney.

"White Collar" is back for its fifth season. It is a shorter season, with only 13 episodes. In the first episode of "White Collar" Season 5, "At What Price," Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) was able to ensure the freedom of Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) by forging the confession of his father.

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) of "The Big Bang Theory" may never say that he and Amy (Mayim Bialik) are in a relationship of love. For the character, it is a boy and girl relationship in which physical intimacy is expressed via holding hands. However, Jim Parsons is not like his character. It is no secret that the Emmy award winning actor, 40, is gay and has been in a relationship with art-director, Todd Spiewak, for more than a decade.

The competition has intensified in "The Bachelor" Australia. There are now seven bachelorettes vying for the attention of Tim Robards. They will do anything to impress him and gain Tim's attention as the competition intensifies.

BBC's hugely popular "Sherlock" is returning for its third season, with plenty of new developments.

The premiere date of "Sherlock" 3 is still shrouded in mystery, but there are already talks of "Sherlock" Season 4 and "Sherlock" Season 5. Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the titular role of Sherlock, and Martin Freeman, who potrays Dr Watson, have shown interest in doing a couple of more seasons of "Sherlock" despite their busy Hollywood schedule.

In the previous episode of "Castle," Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) got her NYPD badge back. Also, Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) was allowed to come back to the 12th Precinct as the consultant. The two are officially back, together to solve a new murder mystery. It is going to be interesting to watch how the two manage to keep-off each other at the workplace, since they are engaged now.

In the episode 3 of "Scandal" Season 3, "Mrs. Smith Goes to Washington," Mary Nesbitt is the client of Pope & Associates. She pays them $25,000 to fix a family matter, which involves the death of her son who was killed by FBI agents. The son was accused of having links with the terrorists, while the mother's gut says that her son was innocent.

The spin-off of the hit "Once Upon a Time," "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland' premiered on October 10, 2013. The pilot episode introduced us to the grown-up version of Alice (Sophie Lowe), the little Alice who went down a Rabbit role in Lewis Carroll's children book "Alice Adventure in Wonderland."

The second instalment of "Suits" Season 3 will air sometime in January, 2013. The first instalment of Season 3 did not end on a major conflict that needs to be resolved when "Suits" returns with new episodes on USA Network. However, Louis (Rick Hoffman) has now a reason to doubt that Mike may have never gone to Harvard, which might lead to him finding out that Mike is living a lie and that he did not go to any law school.

"Orange is the New Black" is one of the most talked about shows of this year. It premiered on Web streaming site, Netflix, on June 23, 2013. The drama series, created by Jenji Kohan, is based on memoir by the same name, written by Piper Kerman.

The first two episodes of ABC's political drama series, "Scandal" Season 3, revolved around fixing the "mistress" situation. First it was revealed that President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) was the one who outed his relationship with Olivia (Kerry Washington). Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Cyrus (Jeff Perry) fixed the situation by leaking to the press that Jeanine's (Samantha Sloyan) was the mistress of the President, and not Olivia.

"The Bachelor" Australia took the eight girls out to Broome, Western Australia in a sea-plane for another round of fun, jealousy shots, anticipation, the kiss and the rose miss. At Eco Beach, it turned out to be more than "an adventure full of sun, sand and romance."

"Sleepy Hollow" has got the attention of the viewers as it is raking in high numbers. It is one of the successful new series in the television world along with "The Blacklist." Fox has renewed "Sleepy Hollow" for the season, which will comprise of 13 episodes like the first season.

The fifth episode of "The Big Bang Theory" is called "The Workplace Proximity" and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is going to have a problem with Amy (Mayim Bialik) when she takes a job at Caltech. Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) are also going to have a tiff because of the working at the same place issue.

The first episode of "White Collar" Season 5, "At What Price," is all set to air on Thursday, with 13 episodes. It has been a long wait for the fans of "White Collar" after the previous season ended with the arrest of Peter Burke (Tim DeKay). He was arrested for the murder of Senator Terrence Pratt (Samuel Phelps) that Neal Caffrey's (Matt Bomer) father, James Bennett (Treat Williams), committed. Peter is facing first degree murder charges.

In the episode four of "The Blacklist," "The Stewmaker," Liz (Megan Boone) would have dissolved in a chemical concoction if Red (James Spader) had not saved her on time. Red pushed the stewmaker in the same tub of chemicals that he had prepared for Liz to disappear, permanently without any residue of her body's existence. Liz called Red a monster for doing that.

HBO's hugely popular fantasy series "Game of Thrones" has competition in the form of a porn parody movie, which will be released as Web-episodes. The movie is called "Game of Bones: Winter Is Cumming" and is scheduled to release on October 25 on Woodrocket.com.
